WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE NAME CHRIST FELLOWSHIP LEESVILLE?

Our church was formed in May of 2022 when two churches in the Raleigh area merged. Refuge Church was a church plant in need of a building and Leesville Baptist Church was a historic church in need of additional people, staff, and pastors. Both churches chose to select a new name for the merged church to show that, by God’s grace, we were creating something new together. We chose Christ Fellowship Leesville because we want Christ to be at the center of all that we do as his people. The word Fellowship also speaks to one of Core Values of authentic relationships. We believe the fellowship of believers is essential for our pursuit of maturity in Christ.

WHAT IS THE VISION/MISSION?

We exist to make disciples for the glory of Jesus Christ through gospel proclamation, biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and love for one another that we may present all mature in Christ. (Colossians 1:28-29)

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO A WORSHIP SERVICE?

We encourage you to wear whatever you prefer for worship whether casual or business attire. Our staff and leadership are consistently semi-casual.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE WORSHIP?

Worship in its definition and goal goes far beyond music or style. The musical expression of our worship tends to incorporate modern and contemporary music and style while also providing fresh, modern arrangements to some classic hymns. We seek to fulfill Colossians 3:16, which says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” In our of our worship, we want to exalt Christ together and sing his truths to one another.

WHAT DENOMINATION IS CHRIST FELLOWSHIP LEESVILLE?

Christ Fellowship Leesville is a church dedicated to biblical Christianity, church planting, and world missions. We are an autonomous church with a conservative, evangelical, and baptistic theology. We cooperate with the SBC for the purpose of international missions, church planting, and theological education. We are a participating church in Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary’s EQUIP Program. We are also part of the Pillar Network, a church planting network of like-minded SBC churches.
