Guard the Gospel
Jonathan Brooks   -

Paul knew the importance of guarding the gospel. Some false teachers had arisen in the church at Ephesus, where Timothy ministered, and Paul encouraged Timothy to make sure that he stood firm in the truth of God’s Word. He explained that depending on God’s grace, effective discipleship, and discipline would help the people of God focus on Jesus and accomplish all that God desired. May we, through God’s grace, work hard to guard the gospel and be changed to be more like Jesus each day.
Scripture: II Timothy 2:1-7
